My Convention Sketchbook 2003-2013 #60: Sammy Harkham

Sammy Harkham is an enigma of sorts. He created, and edited the ground breaking comics anthology Kramers Ergot, then he gave us Crickets when we least expected it, which I loved, and now all I hear are crickets…C’mon Sammy, we need more Crickets! He’s apparently involved in what looks to be a front for the mob, Family “book store” in Los Angeles. This new enterprise might be related to the recent shady affair of a certain “warehouse find” of extra copies of  the one time comix rarity Kramers Ergot #1. What’s next, Sammy? Are you going to stumble upon a lost cache of Princess Di Beanie Babies in your sock drawer, and just implode all of our retirement plans?? Well, I just don’t know what to say other than thank you, thank you for drawing me this sketch at SDCC 2006!

Oh, and I would be remiss not to mention Sammy’s latest collection of comics, and one of Picturebox’s last publishing efforts, Everything Together which is well worth the 20 or so bucks it would set you back!
